Seal Parish Council is currently reviewing and updating the Parish Highway Improvement Plan (HIP) in partnership with Kent County Council.

The HIP is used to identify and prioritise highway and road safety concerns within the parish, helping the Parish Council raise local issues with KCC as the Highway Authority.

We would like to hear from residents about any concerns or suggestions relating to:

  • Speeding
  • Road safety
  • Pavements and crossings
  • Parking concerns
  • Visibility or signage issues
  • Traffic flow
  • Pedestrian and cyclist safety

You can view the current Highway Improvement Plan here:

If you would like to raise a concern or suggest an improvement, please complete our HIP survey/form here:

Please note:

  • The HIP is a prioritisation document and not all requests can be implemented immediately.
  • Highway matters remain the responsibility of Kent County Council.
  • Urgent issues such as potholes, flooding, damaged signs, or faulty streetlights should still be reported directly to KCC.

Resident feedback is valuable in helping the Parish Council understand local priorities and support future discussions with KCC.
